Children's Medical Services NetworkYour child's health is important. That's why Children's Medical Services Network is here to provide a broad range of medical, therapeutic and supportive services for eligible children with special health care needs and their families. Our services focus on helping your child grow up healthier and include prevention and early intervention services, primary care, medical and therapeutic specialty care, and long term care.
Services are coordinated through one of the 22 CMS Area Offices or 15 Local Early Steps (early intervention) Offices around the state. The CMS Area Offices offer nurses and social workers to families who would like help with organizing their child's care. Your child's CMS care coordinator will work with you and your child's doctors to get the care that he or she needs. The Local Early Steps Offices will determine the status of your child's developmental milestones and, if eligible, a team of professionals will work with you to determine your concerns and priorities for your child. An Individualized Family Support Plan will be developed that outlines a plan unique to your child and family to provide supports and services that can be incorporated into everyday routines, activities and places to aid your child's development. The Children's Medical Services Network is a Florida KidCare Program partner. |
