Position Description:
The Health Planning Council of Southwest Florida is looking
for a program manager for the Gulf Central Early Steps Program
covering the counties of Sarasota, Charlotte, Manatee, Desoto,
Highlands and Hardee. The position is based in Sarasota.
The program manager reports to the Early Steps program
director based in Fort Myers and is responsible for the
operation of the Gulf Central Early Steps program, the
efficiency of the employees that are part of his/her team and
the implementation of the Part C Policies and Procedures under
the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA). |

Requirements:
The successful candidate has an in-depth knowledge of the
Early Steps program and the necessary skills to handle:
- Staff management
- Team development
- Delegation of appropriate responsibilities
- Program questions
- Monitoring and reporting of compliance with local, state,
and federal policies and procedures
- Community outreach
