Program Performance & Accountability

Reauthorization of the Individuals with Disabilities Education Act (IDEA) in 2004 requires that all participating states have a performance plan in place that evaluates efforts to implement IDEA and shows how the state will improve performance. The State Performance Plan is developed with broad stakeholder input and submitted to the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP). States must report annually on the state's performance towards the targets established in the State Performance Plan through an Annual Performance Report (APR). Click on the link below to view Florida's FFY 2011 Annual Performance Report.

• Part C State Annual Performance Report Submitted February 2013

In accordance with federal reporting requirements identified by the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP), states must report annually to the public in meeting select targets set in the State Performance Plan (SPP). Florida has made continued progress in meeting the targets in the State Performance Plan over the past 6 years, and we have been determined by the Office of Special Education Programs (OSEP) to Meet Requirements in implementation of IDEA, Part C. For more information, please read the OSEP response letter to Florida's Revised APR submitted April 2012.
