The Nassau County Health Department Dental Clinic provides dental
services for children ages 1-20. Our children ages 1 and 2 are
provided a dental examination and fluoride varnish treatment to prevent
early childhood caries. The parents of our 1 and 2 years old receive in
depth oral hygiene education on how to promote good oral health for their
young children and how to prevent dental decay. Our children ages 3 - 20
are provided the following services:
- Dental Examination
- Prophylaxis (Cleanings)
- Oral Hygiene Instructions
- Dental Sealants
- Dental x-rays
- Fillings
- Extractions
- Nitrous Oxide if needed
- Referrals as needed
Adult dental services (Ages 21 and over) are limited depending on specific
programs and referrals are available for uninsured adults.
