waterproofFL video As the Sunshine State, Florida is the perfect place to have a pool and although we have a right to enjoy the sun and fun, owning a pool comes with responsibilities. In Florida, drowing is the leading cause of death for children 1-4 years old, and that is why drowning prevention, education and awareness are critically important.	Pool Safety Drowning is the leading cause of death among children ages 1 to 4 years old in Florida. Public Information Officer Stefany Strong tells us how Daytona Beach leaders are coming together to do something about that alarming statistic in this segment of Community Health Matters.	2011 - Drowning Prevention Billboards It’s been a tragic swim season so far this summer with Volusia County leading the state in toddler drowning deaths at eight. The Volusia Flagler Family YMCA and Drowning Prevention Task Force recently launched a billboard campaign aimed at saving lives. Stefany Strong explains in this segment of Community Health Matters.
