Early Intervention Services for Children with a Hearing Loss

Children who have a confirmed permanent hearing loss are eligible to receive early intervention services through Early Steps. Florida's goal is that all children with a confirmed permanent hearing loss who are referred to Early Steps are enrolled to receive services and that these services start by six months of age. Each quarter, two local Early Steps programs are recognized for doing well with enrolling children with a hearing loss and starting services in a timely manner. Below are winners so far:
  • Big Bend Early Steps for July through September 2012
  • Western Panhandle Early Steps July through September 2012
  • Gold Coast Early Steps for October through December 2012
  • Southernmost Coast Early Steps for October through December 2012
