Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP)

The American Academy of Pediatrics offers a national continuing education program titled Pediatric Education for Prehospital Professionals (PEPP). This course was designed by a committee of physician, nurse, and paramedic representatives from eight national organizations concerned with EMS for children.

National EMSC Clearinghouse

The National Emergency Medical Services for Children links users to a comprehensive assortment of innovative pediatric emergency care products, periodicals, and publications. Several EMSC products are available free of charge or as downloadable documents. Resources created outside the EMSC Program are also identified.

EMSC is primarily supported and is jointly administered by the U.S. Department of Health and Human Services' Health Resources and Services Administration and the U.S. Department of Transportation's National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.

Children With Special Health Care Needs: A Template for Prehospital Protocol Development from National Association of Emergency Medical Services Physicians, Prehospital Emergency Care Journal. These protocols are intended to serve as a resource template for the development and/or revision of jurisdiction-specific, customized practice guidelines.
