A trauma agency is a local (usually at the county level) governmental organization tasked with the following responsibilities:
  • Develop and support the regional trauma system.
  • Trauma system planning and evaluation.
  • Provide quality management feedback to participating providers.
  • Implement and promote performance improvement activities.
