No, there is no group care or physical plant inspection component from the Department of Health. However,
the Department works with Adult Daycare Facilities to ensure safe food service

Food Inspections?
Yes, DOH does inspect any level of food service whether catered in or provided directly by the facility.Permitting depends upon the number of clients the
adult day care is licensed for by the Agency for Health Care Administration (AHCA):
16 or fewer clients:

The food service is regulated by the
local county health department.
17 or more clients:
A state DOH food permit is needed when a facility
serves food and has a maximum capacity of 17 clients or
more. Prior to opening or operating, a set of
plans drawn to scale and a completed food hygiene permit
application must be submitted to the local county health
department for a food hygiene plan review. There
is a fee associated with the required plan review.
