The adverse health outcomes associated with damp indoor environments and mold are summarized in the following table: http://www.cdc.gov/mold/iom_sum.htm.  Sometimes your primary care provider is uncertain of the cause of the symptoms you may be experiencing.  In those cases, you may request a referral to an appropriate medical specialist (i.e., allergist/immunologist, etc.). However, it may be difficult to find physicians specializing on indoor environmental contaminants in your neighborhood.
