Deputy Secretary: Kimberly A. Berfield

The Deputy Secretary provides oversight of the divisions of Administration, Childrens Medical Services, Disability Determinations, Health Access and Tobacco, Information Technology, and Medical Quality Assurance along with the offices of Legislative Affairs, Correctional Medical Authority and serves as the Officer of Women's Health. The Deputy is a member of the Executive Management Team and assists with the planning, direction, evaluation, supervision, and administration of the Department to protect and promote the health of all people in Florida.

Projects currently being managed by the Deputy Secretary include updating the Department's organizational profile, strategic plan, and performance measurements.
