J. Martin Stubblefield is our Deputy Secretary for Administrative Services. As Deputy Secretary, Mr. Stubblefield will oversee the Divisions of Administration, Disability Determinations and Medical Quality Assurance. The Office of Information Technology will also be under his leadership.
With more than 25 years of managerial experience, our new Deputy Secretary will oversee many of the Department's key divisions and support functions. In addition to the Department's Bureaus of Budget and Revenue Management, Finance and Accounting, Personnel and Human Resources, and General Services, Stubblefield will oversee the state's regulation of health care practitioners and the determination of Floridians' medical eligibility for disability benefits.
Most recently, Mr. Stubblefield served as Market President for Ameris Bank in Tallahassee where he managed business development activities. Previously he served as State Market President and Division Manager for Hancock Bank in Tallahassee, City Executive for BB&T in Pensacola, and State Business Banking Sales Manager and Senior Vice President for AmSouth Bank in Jackson, MS.
Mr. Stubblefield received his Bachelor of Science degree in Marketing and Sales Management from the University of Southern Mississippi in Hattiesburg. He is a current member of the Governor's Workgroup on Community Services Delivery Model and a past treasurer of the Greater Northwest Economic Development Council for Florida. His community involvement includes serving as chairman of the Heart Walk for the American Heart Association and president of Class XV of Leadership Tallahassee, where he also sat on the Board of Governors.
