Advisory Council for the Department of Health Website Information Clearinghouse on Developmental Disabilities

The advisory council consists of health care providers and caregivers who perform health care services for persons who have developmental disabilities, including Down syndrome and autism. The nine member council consists of:

1. Three members appointed by the governor;
2. Three members appointed by the President of the Senate; and
3. Three members appointed by the Speaker of the House of Representatives.

• Dr. Janet Flowers was appointed by the President of the Senate on January 17, 2013
• Ryan Tyson was appointed by the Speaker of the House on December 7, 2012
