Special Needs Oral Health Workgroup

Goal — The workgroup’s goal is to raise awareness about the oral health needs of special needs populations. The workgroup will investigate access issues and educate both providers and the public about the importance of regular periodic dental visits, and the establishment of a dental home for these populations.

• The Florida Department of Health applied for a grant to fund this workgroups activities (12/2006).
• Workgroup formed 2006.
