Information Technology
The mission of Information Technology is to promote, provide, coordinate and support secure, reliable access to Florida health information resources.
Information Technology coordinates information resource issues with the
Chief Operating Officer for Government Operations, Executive Office of the Governor and legislative appropriations
committees. It oversees and provides management and technical staff to
design, implement and maintain the information systems and infrastructure to
meet the data and business needs of the Department.
The sections within Information Technology are:
The mission of Application Development and Support is to design, develop, maintain, and support agency data and information systems; support the Department of Healths web presence; support, assist, and improve project management practices across the agency; and provide governance services necessary to ensure the successful management and monitoring of technology projects in accordance with DOH priorities and standards.
Infrastructure and Support's mission is to provide the most robust, reliable and secure technical solutions to our customers and the health care professionals within the state of Florida.
