Create a subcommittee to work on issues related to enforcing Florida Statutes prohibiting the use of tobacco products on school property.

Lack of staff and resource officers to enforce statutes.

Lack of staff to implement and supervise students out of compliance.

Lack of community and parental support for enforcement activities and behaviors.

 Partners will include school health staff, administration, parents, students, school resource officers, and health department staff.

Designate smoking areas at county recreation facilities.

Erect signs at recreational facilities informing citizens of tobacco use rules and the importance of protecting children from environmental tobacco use.

Inability to agree upon a site for smokers to engage in tobacco use.

Inability to enforce rules.

 Lack of compliance by park users.

Signs may be vandalized and costly to replace.
