ORGANIZATION AND STRATEGIC PLANNING COMMITTEE
Goal:
Ensure that the Bureau
maintains a statewide coordinated system of care, guidelines,
standards, policies, procedures and rules that effectively and
efficiently utilizes the federal, state, and community funding and
resources available to best address the needs of individuals who
sustain traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.
Committee
functions shall include but not be limited to the following:

Assist in
developing, monitoring, and updating the Bureau's Strategic Plans
and setting the programs priorities to ensure the Bureau's goals
and objectives are appropriate and are achieved.

Assist in
developing and monitoring ongoing marketing and program awareness
projects or activities.

Assist in
researching and developing legislation and grant proposals along
with community partnerships, stakeholders and advocates as needed
to ensure the Bureau meets its strategic goals and objectives.

Keeps program
partners, advocates, and stakeholders informed of legislation,
budget, funding, grant and contracting/outsourcing issues
impacting the Bureaus programs.

Monitor and
evaluate the performance of the Bureau's contractors.

Assists
with the recruitment of candidates for council/committee
membership and makes recommendations to the Secretary of the
Department of Health and the Council Chairperson for appointments
to the Council/Committees as vacancies become available.

Provides
oversight of the programs of the Bureau of Brain and Spinal Cord
Injury and ensures that the State maintains a statewide
coordinated system of care and the programs are effectively and
efficiently administered to meet the needs of individuals who
sustain traumatic brain and spinal cord injuries.
