 Other state, local and
private agencies also occupy hospital facilities and provide a broad range
of services to the community. These agencies include the Department
of Children and Families, the Department of Juvenile Justice, the Palm
Beach County School Board, South County Mental Retardation Unit, as well
as, a day care center, halfway houses and shelters.
The Lantana
Branch of the Palm Beach County Health
Department is also located on
hospital grounds.
 The hospital continues to
renovate and lease available space to agencies or organizations that
benefit the hospital or serve the good of the community. In March of
1999 the hospital reopened the east end of the fourth floor as a 50 bed,
state-of–the–art respiratory care center for the treatment of the most
difficult and complex cases of TB in Florida.
