The City of Daytona Beach invites you to a GRAND OPENING CELEBRATION Saturday, June 8 | 9 a.m. to 2 p.m. Yvonne Scarlett-Golden Cultural & Educational Center 1000 Vine Street in Daytona Beach Please join city officials & family members as we open this facility to the public Building Tours | Refreshments | Live Music | Programs & Activities Named in honor of the late Mayor Yvonne Scarlett-Golden (1926-2006), the building is as unique and innovative as its namesake. The nearly 20,000-square-foot facility will provide a cultural, educational and recreational resource for generations of Daytona Beach residents. Funding for the $2.6 million facility was provided by the County of Volusia ECHO Grant Program, Daytona Beach Racing & Recreational Facilities District, Department of Housing and Urban Development and the City of Daytona Beach.

Hey Kids! There's a new summer camp coming your way! Camp Fun & Fit Camp Fun and Fit will give kids ages 8- 12 a chance to learn about healthy life choices while having loads of fun. Campers will eat healthy foods, play active games, and develop healthy habits that will last a lifetime! The week-long camps will include field trips to Publix, the Farmers Market, Agricultural Center and Bethune-Cookman University1S culinary arts center. We'11 even take time out for kickboxing, bowling and other fitness activities. On Friday, we111 have our own fun version of the Junior Olympics! CAMPS WILL BE OFFERED FROM 7:10 A.M. - S:JO P.M. MONDAY THROUGH FRIDAY AT FOUR LOCATIONS: • July 8- 12: Edgewater Elementary School, 801 S. Old County Road, Edgewater • July 15- 19: Palm Terrace Elementary School, 1825 Dunn Ave., Daytona Beach • July 22- 26: Orange City Elementary School, 555 E.
