ORANGE CITY – Florida Hospital Fish Memorial in Orange City has been designated a Breast Imaging Center of Excellence by the American College of Radiology (ACR), a testament to the high level of skill patients receive from the hospital’s imaging services.

The ACR Breast Imaging Center of Excellence accreditation represents the highest level of image quality and patient safety. In order to receive the ACR’s Breast Imaging Center of Excellence designation, Florida Hospital Fish Memorial had to earn full-accreditation in Mammography, Stereotactic Breast Biopsy, and Breast Ultrasound.

The breast imaging services at Florida Hospital Fish Memorial are fully accredited in mammography, stereotactic breast biopsy, breast ultrasound and ultrasound-guided breast biopsy. Peer-review evaluations conducted in each breast imaging modality by board-certified physicians and expert medical physicists have determined that this facility has achieved high practice standards in image quality, personnel qualifications, facility equipment, quality control procedures and quality assurance programs.
