Vision and Mission

 

The vision of the Division of Disease Control, Bureau of HIV/AIDS is to significantly reduce the infection rates of HIV and viral hepatitis and provide quality services for those already infected/affected.

The mission of the Division of Disease Control, Bureau of HIV/AIDS is to promote and protect the health and safety of all people in Florida through the development, implementation, and evaluation of comprehensive HIV/AIDS and viral hepatitis programs.

About Our Program

The HIV/AIDS Program provides intervention and prevention services for Area 12 which includes both Volusia and Flagler Counties. Program staff works cooperatively with local providers, community service agencies, and area colleges to reach as many at risk individuals as possible.
 

Our Services

The HIV/AIDS Program is an extensive program that incorporates multiple areas of HIV/AIDS. Some of our services include the following:

  • Provide prevention services to the community including condom distribution, community presentations and trainings.

  • Administer HIV testing to Volusia and Flagler Counties.

  • Link clients to care and health services.

  • Collaborate with community businesses, organizations, and members to maximize services provided.

  • Surveillance and data collection.
