Let’s Move Volusia’s YOUth Coalition is a public-private partnership whose mission is to address the problem of obesity among children and adolescents within a generation by creating healthy environments for children and families through policy, systems and environmental change.
The coalition has identified three priority areas to focus on in our community to create healthy environments:

Parents, Youth & Children A vegetable garden is great way to engage members of your community or
congregation around healthy, local food. The garden will also serve as an
educational tool to teach children that healthy eating can be fun and taste
good. |
Early Childhood
A toolkit designed to provide child care resources for early childhood obesity
prevention. As a child care provider, you have the powerful opportunity to
instill healthy choices that could help prevent childhood obesity from the
start.
