Teresa Moran

Teresa Moran joined the Volusia County Health Department, Office of Chronic Disease Prevention and Wellness in 2009 as the Chronic Disease Prevention Program Coordinator. In her position, she supervises both the Tobacco Prevention Program and the Florida Breast and Cervical Cancer Early Detection Program. She was recently recognized as the 2009 VCHD New Employee of the Year.

Teresa has over ten years of experience in the field of health education and promotion. She was previously employed as Program Manager with Prevent Blindness Florida as well as Health Educator Consultant with the Orange County Health Department in the area of Injury Prevention and Safety. Throughout her career, she has been dedicated to providing health education promotion and awareness to the Central Florida community.

Ms. Moran received a Master of Science in Community Health Education from West Virginia University, School of Medicine in May, 2000. She is a Certified Health Education Specialist (CHES) by The National Commission for Health Education Credentialing, Inc. Teresa is also a 2005 graduate of the Public Health Leadership Institute of Florida, University of South Florida.
