The Director's Corner:

Dr. Bonnie Sorensen

We thank everyone for being patient and allowing our most vulnerable residents to be vaccinated first against the H1N1 flu virus.

At this time, the Volusia County Health Department is opening up the free H1N1 vaccinations to anyone who wants to be vaccinated. You may visit one of our four health department clinic locations to be vaccinated.

Volusia County has received more than 100,000 doses of the H1N1 vaccine and shipments continue to arrive. The vaccine is being distributed to health care providers as well as hospitals, pharmacies, fire departments, urgent care centers, and a number of community partners. You may also call your private provider to check on vaccine availability.
