The Florida Department Health in Brevard County (DOH-Brevard) provides infectious disease services to educate the community and prevent the spread of disease. We offer infectious disease services which include:

Epidemiology

The DOH-Brevard Epidemiology Program investigates, intervenes and monitors the incidence/occurrence of illnesses in Brevard County, monitors reportable diseases, and provides education and consultation services.

HIV/AIDS

The DOH-Brevard HIV/AIDS Program offers health education, counseling and testing, positive HIV contact tracing, HIV and AIDS surveillance, and more.

Immunizations

DOH-Brevard offers vaccines for all ages through our three clinic sites. In addition to childhood immunizations, adult and travel vaccines are also available through our Immunization Program at a fee based on the cost of the vaccine.

STDs

The DOH-Brevard Sexually Transmitted Diseases Program is responsible for the control of STDs (mainly HIV, syphilis, gonorrhea, chlamydia, and Hepatitis A, B, and C) through the utilization of investigative techniques. Testing, treatment and education services are available.

Tuberculosis

DOH-Brevard provides services necessary to identify, investigate, and assist in the treatment of Tuberculosis (TB). TB screening services are available at each of our three clinic sites.
