Charlotte County Health Department’s (CCHD's) Human Resources office is located in Port Charlotte at our administrative location. Our primary customers are the CCHD employees. We provide technical assistance regarding personnel rules, regulations, policies and procedures to both line staff and supervisors.

Persons who submit an application via fax, telephonically, or by mail must contact the People First Service Center during their normal business hours (8:00 a.m. – 6:00 p.m. EST) prior to the application deadline date to answer the position qualifying questions.  Applicants who do not answer the position qualifying questions will not be considered for the position.

Your current retirement benefits may be canceled, suspended or deemed ineligible depending upon the date of your retirement.

The successful candidate will be required to complete the Form I-9 and that information will be verified using the E-Verify system. E-Verify is operated by the Department of Homeland Security in partnership with the Social Security Administration to verify employment eligibility.

Positions are in the Career Service System and pursuant to Chapter 295, Florida Statutes, eligible veterans and spouses of veterans will receive preference in employment for Career Service positions and are encouraged to apply.
