HEALTHY START
Women's Health- Healthy Start
Healthy Start is a voluntary program designed to improve birth outcomes and assess the needs of clients who are pregnant and need services for themselves and their infants. Referrals are received from maternity providers, hospitals, clients and other professionals.
Eligibility:

Any pregnant woman or infant under the age of 1 year is eligible for Healthy Start.

They must be a resident of Florida.

There are no income requirements.
Services:

Can provide home visits by a nurse, social worker, or family support worker.

Provides education and information about having a healthy pregnancy and a healthy baby.

Provides smoking cessation counseling, parenting education & support, breastfeeding education & support, interconceptional education & counseling, and referrals to childbirth classes and psychosocial counseling.

Providing care coordination and referrals to other agencies as needed.
