Primary Care
The Primary Care program ensures basic health
services for adults who are uninsured, or under-insured adults who do not
qualify for federal assistance programs. Primary health care is provided
for those people who fall within the assistance that the Columbia County Health
Department is qualified to give.
Some of the basic services provided by the Columbia
County Health Department include physical examinations, cholesterol and
CBC tests, diabetes and thyroid screenings as needed, and liver enzyme blood
tests.
These services are provided on an ability to pay or
on a sliding fee scale. Fees vary according to the service
provided. No one
is denied service due to an inability to pay.
