Message From the Administrator

As Administrator of the Columbia County Health Department, I would like to welcome you to our website. Our mission is to promote, provide and maintain the health and well-being of our residents. This is accomplished through assessing the health needs of the community and establishing health objectives to maintain essential personal, family, community and environmental health services. We have more than 40 dedicated employees working to assure the health and well-being of our county's residents and visitors. A joint venture between the State of Florida and the Columbia County Board of Commissioners, the Columbia County Health Department works in partnership with other health care providers, contractors and social service providers in an integrated and coordinated effort with the goal of maximizing resources. We are focusing on the provision of basic public health services and the prevention of communicable disease.

With the support of the community, we will meet the future health needs of our county as we experience the rewards and satisfaction of practicing public health.
