Dental Services
The Dental Department is staffed to complete all needed dental services for
children, including: Sealants, Cleanings, Fillings, Stainless steel Crowns, Root
Canals, and Space Maintainers.
Dental services for adults are limited to exams, cleanings, fillings and
extractions for our non-medical patients. Please see fee schedule for county
residents and non residents.
For those patients on Medicaid, the services are limited to exams and
extractions.
Available appointments
We try
to schedule appointments as soon as possible. Please just remember we have a
large population in need of our services.
Broken Appointment policy for Gadsden County Health Department Dental Program
Two broken appointments in a 6 month period will result in your appointment
scheduling privileges being suspended for a period of 6 months from the date of
the last broken appointment. The same policy applies to children, however, the
appointment scheduling privilege suspension period for children will be for 3
months (18 years old and under). You will be able to be seen in the event of a
genuine emergency as defined by our emergency policy. Treatment will be limited
to the emergency.
Emergency Dental Services
If
your child has a dental emergency (toothache), you must call the dental center
between 8:00 am and 8:30 am to make an appointment. We will make every effort to
schedule your child and appointment that day.
Fees
Dental Fees
Children under the Medicaid program are covered for all services.
Children without Medicaid can also be seen under the fees provided.
Adults under Medicaid will only have coverage for limited exams, x-rays, and
extractions.
