OSTDS
Onsite Sewage Treatment and Disposal Systems (OSTDS) - Inspector Jason
Krazit
Protecting health is the primary, positive result from properly designed,
installed, and maintained onsite sewage systems. The objective of the Onsite
Sewage Treatment and Disposal System (OSTDS) program is to provide safe and
sanitary treatment of domestic and commercial sewage in areas not served by
public sewage systems. The programs goal is to protect the public from
infectious disease. Improperly built or maintained onsite sewage treatment and
disposal systems (Septic tanks) pollute ground and surface water, degrades water
quality and spreads disease.
