What is Environmental Health?

The Environmental Health Program has a major role in the overall mission through its efforts to control, prevent and monitor injury and disease by controlling environmental risks. Environmental Health Services is responsible for Public Health - Healthy People in Healthy Communities monitoring conditions within the community that could present a threat to the health and safety of the public. The role of the Environmental Health Specialists is to work in the community to ensure continued public health and address potential health risk. Environmental Health Services supports different programs that can be accessed within our web site.
