Group Care

This program involves adult living facilities, dwelling units licensed to serve clients of the Department of Children and Family Services (Foster-homes), and schools both public and private. The Department of health coordinates state-level requirements for physical plant, food service, limited use commercial public water systems, and onsite sewage treatment and disposal system (OSTDS) inspections for these types of facilities. Onsite inspections of these facilities also help to assure that the physical as well as emotional needs of the citizens are served by these facilities.
