The Speaker’s Bureau is a tool that the Health Department / Health Center utilizes to motivate and educate clients, groups and our community to meet specific or overall health and wellness goals.

Environmental Health
The Environmental Health department’s goal is to protect the public’s health by monitoring and regulating activities in the environment that may contribute to occurrence or transmission of adisease.  These topics include but are not limited to:

  • Septic Tank Analysis
  • Onsite Wastewater Disposal System
  • Water Testing
  • Animal Bite Investigation
  • West Nile Virus
  • Rabies

Women, Infants, & Children / Nutrition
Nutritionists provide nutrition education to audiences of various ages at schools, health fairs, worksites and other community venues. Topics include but are not limited to:

  • Diabetes Management/Eating Healthy w/Diabetes
  • Breastfeeding/Prenatal
  • Infant and Child Nutrition
  • Cardiovascular Disease and other related topics
  • General Nutrition
  First Friends Presentation

Dental Program
Our Dental staff provide dental education to audiences of various ages.  They provide hands-on experience in their presentations.  Dental topics include but are not limited to:

  • Dental Hygiene, Sealant, General Dental
    Procedures and Applications
  • Overview of Dental Program

Public Health Preparedness
Disasters typically give little warning, so contact our Public Health Preparedness Planner to educate your group on how to prepare in the event of an emergency.


Community Education
The health education staff provides education and assistance to audiences of various ages at schools, health fairs, and other community venues. Topics include but are not limited to:

  • Tobacco and Second Hand Smoke
  • Tobacco Cessation
  • "Act in Time to Heart Attack Signs" 9-1-1 Presentation
  • 5 A Day
  • Most general health topics (with lead time)

Nursing
Our Nursing/Medical staff provide education on a variety of topics to audiences of various ages.  They provide hands-on experience in their presentations.  These topics include but are not limited to:

  • The Role of County Health Department @Emergency Operations Center

  • Blood-borne Pathogens
