Thank you for choosing Hernando Healthy Smiles as your oral health care provider. The dental program promises to help you and your child achieve excellent oral health in an atmosphere of trust and mutual respect.
We accept children as soon as their first tooth comes in (usually around six to eight months) and up. We see adult clients on a very limited basis.
Please take a moment to familiarize yourself with our office policies.
Available Appointments 
Our staff will try their best to schedule your appointment as soon as possible. We will give you the next available appointment when you contact our office or at the end of your visit. For your convenience, you may make appointments for up to 2 family members per day.
Broken Appointment Policy
When you make appointments we expect you to show up on time. If you fail to keep an appointment you are depriving someone else of this time. It is also your responsibility to keep track of your child's appointment. If you are unable to keep an appointment, please notify us at least 24 hours in advance. Failure to do so may result in suspension or dismissal from the dental program.
Treatment Rooms Policy
We ask that parents remain in the waiting room while their child is receiving treatment. We understand your child may be worried about his/her dental appointment. We will do our best to alleviate their fears. We appreciate your cooperation with this policy.
Emergency Dental Services
Emergency dental services are available for patients of record. If you have had a dental exam within the past 12 months and have a dental emergency, please call us at (352) 540-6800 ext 82021 for an appointment.
Fees/Payment
Payment is due at the time service is rendered. We accept cash, MasterCard, Visa, or check with ID. We also accept Medicaid.
Dental Clinics
The Dental Program provides services by appointment only. We accept children from when they cut their first tooth and up. We only offer limited services for adults . The following services are provided at both our Spring Hill and Brooksville sites:

Evaluation of a tooth causing pain or swelling

Extraction
We do not provide oral surgery or extraction of wisdom teeth
We do not offer root canals, crowns, bridges, or dentures

Non-Medicaid Eligibility and fees:
- Social Security Card: If you do not have one please contact the local Social Security office near you to obtain a duplicate card.
- Proof of Residency: i.e. driver's license, utility bills
- Proof of Income: Current checking account statement, pay stubs or income verification from your employer, alimony, verification of any contributions/unemployment compensation
- Verification of your disability: certification of your disability and checking account statements
