Hernando County Public Health Snapshot Newsletter

The Hernando County Health Department/Nature Coast Community Health Center is pleased to bring you the Hernando County Public Health Snapshot newsletter. Our goal is to give you public health information that is specifically compiled for Hernando County and we hope that it will be useful in your daily work. The Hernando County Health Department reports selected health data to the State Department of Health, and to federal funding agencies. The health department is able to collect and report some types of data fairly quickly, such as communicable diseases. Other types of data such as cancer deaths take a longer time to obtain.

This newsletter will be published quarterly, and will focus on communicable diseases, epidemiology and public health preparedness. In addition, each issue will include information about key health indicators and other topics of current public health interest.
