The Jefferson Communities Public Water System

Construction is nearly complete on Phase I of the system.  At present, the system has over 800 service connections, 85 miles of main, two elevated storage tanks and three production wells.  Upon completion, the system will provide safe drinking water to residents of the towns of Waukeenah, Wacissa, Lloyd, Lamont, Aucilla and the Boland Community.  Work on the design phase of the second portion of the project is expected to follow shortly after the completion of Phase I. It is also expected that Fluoridation equipment will be installed.
