Pools and Bathing Places
Public pools, spas as well as lakes and rivers used as bathing places are permitted and inspected in this program. Chemical levels are checked to confirm the water is sanitary in pools and spas and bacterial testing is done in public bathing places. The filtration and circulation equipment must be in good working order, safety hazards around the water must be eliminated, safety equipment must be present and in good condition and the facility must be generally clean and offer sanitary facilities. A public pool requires a certified operator to maintain the pool in a satisfactory condition.
