EXCAVATION INSPECTION

An excavation inspection will be required when the design engineer specifies an excavation of 48” or greater.

All septic contractors must call the Lee County Health Department prior to the backfill with replacement material if an excavation inspection is required.

For all excavation inspections called into the Lee County Health Department by 4:00 P.M., every effort will be made to inspect the dig out the next day. Approval or disapproval will be called to the installer from the site at the time the excavation inspection is made

A $75 inspection fee is required and will be due prior to the release of the permit.

After excavation of drainfield area leave open. DO NOT BACKFILL.

Secure perimeter with caution tape or similar marking.
