School Health Services promote health through prevention, early intervention, and treatment of referral for acute or chronic health problems.

What kinds of services do students need during the school day?

School health staff provide services to a steady flow of students in the school health room for any number of reasons, including:

The school health staff of Madison County is comprised of one Resisted Nurse, one Licensed Practical nurse and six Health Support Technicians. School health services are vital to schools because children spend over one-third of their day at school. Without school health services children with minor problems would not be able to come to school.

School health staff are children advocates who promote wellness, lifestyles changes, and health education.
