Flu Shots

The single most important thing you can do to prevent yourself from getting the flu is to receive the flu vaccine.  When you receive the seasonal flu vaccine this year you will be protected from the H1N1 strain of the illness.  Another important aspect of preventing the flu is to keep your hands clean.  Wash your hands with soap and water frequently during the day, especially before eating and after using the restroom.  If you do not have access to soap and water then use an alcohol based hand sanitizer. Also, be careful to keep your fingers away from your eyes, nose, and mouth.  To protect the health of those around you cover your cough by coughing into your shirt sleeve and stay at home when sick instead of coming to work.  For additional information on how to stop the spread of influenza visit The Fifth Guy web site.
For the latest information on influenza and the flu vaccine visit the CDC web site.
