The World Health Organization defines Health as being "a state of complete physical, mental, and social well-being and not merely the absence of disease or infirmity". At Manatee County Health Department our mission is to promote, protect and improve the Health of all people in our County.

We want everyone in Manatee County to live a healthy life. But we cannot do the best job without your help. Learn how to be healthy, volunteer for a health-related organization, work at your current job or at home to promote health, and make your opinion on health known to our local, state, and federal representatives. If we work together, we can make our community healthier!
