Health Department Events

The Health department offers HIV classes on the 3rd Tuesday of each month at 7:00 pm to 8:30 pm. Please call 941-748-0747 ext 1432 for more information. All classes need to be pre-registered.
We also offer OraQuick rapid HIV test free of charge. It is only a 20-minute wait for test result. Please call 941-748-0747 ext. 1432 for additional information and location of the testing.
Our WIC department offers Breastfeeding class, Diabetic counseling and Gestational Diabetic counseling for pregnant women free of charge. Please call 941-748-0747 ext. 1363 for more information and registration. WIC also offers Private Nutrition counseling for people who do not qualify for the WIC program with a minimal charge.
