HIV Classes

 facts and Stats Pic  Classes are provided to any interested group who would like HIV or STD information provided to a church, school, private, or community group. Classes are tailored to the needs of your specific population and are available in several different formats.

Certification classes required to maintain health care and other professional licenses are also available. Please call:

Also, special classes are available to train volunteers and professionals to provide HIV/AIDS counseling and testing. These are held at the Health Department or at other locations throughout the surrounding counties. If you are interested in becoming an HIV tester, you can find the schedule for trainings on the link below:

In addition to trainings and classes, the Manatee County Health Department also works with HIV positive individuals to provide a speaker?s bureau for venues where their stories may be told or where they can make a difference by speaking about HIV/AIDS. If you are interested in setting up a date/time for your group to host someone from the speaker?s bureau, please call us at (941) 748-0747 Ext. 1432.
