HIV / STD Testing

   The Manatee County Health Department provides free STD testing on our mobile medical unit (pictured below) as we visit local venues such as businesses, schools, non-profit organizations, and community sponsored events. STD testing on the mobile medical unit includes testing for Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, HIV, Syphilis, and pregnancy. HIV and pregnancy test results are available in 20 minutes. Other test results are available by phone after 10 days.

Testing for STD is also provided at the Health Department in Clinic 3 on a sliding scale based on income. Results for testing provided at the Health Department are available by phone within 10 days, please call first (941) 748-0747 ext 1265 to ensure test results are available.

HIV and Syphilis testing requires a small blood sample. Chlamydia, Gonorrhea, and pregnancy testing require a urine sample.

All tests are confidential and no personal information will be posted to the public. Health Department staff is highly trained in providing care that is excellent and that ensures your privacy. If you have questions about STD testing,  please call us at (941) 748-0747 Ext. 1265.
