Mission
Florida
Department of Health in Manatee County was established in 1921 with three (3)
staff members. The current health department has approximately two hundred (200)
positions and is located at 410 6th Avenue East, Bradenton, Florida. The total
operational budget is approximately 9.4 million dollars. Revenues supporting our
health department come primarily from the State of Florida, Manatee County Board
of County Commissioners, federal and state grants, and client/patient fees. The overall mission of Florida Department of Health in Manatee County is to promote, protect and improve the health of all people in Florida. A strong commitment is made to deliver quality services, produce positive results, and achieve client satisfaction. Mission:To protect and promote the health of all residents and visitors in Manatee County through organized state and community efforts, including cooperative agreements with the county.
