Work site Wellness is committed to developing a healthier workforce and controlling health care costs for area schools, businesses and local governmental agencies. Fostering a health worksite environment increase your bottom line and contributes to a healthier public.

Benefits of participating


Employees at high risk for health problems account for 25% of overall employee medical cost. Work Well Manatee saves you money by helping employees identify and address risk factors before they become costly illnesses.

Initial On-Site Visit:

Screenings & Assessments

(Takes about 10 minutes per employee)

Comprehensive Blood Work

One blood draw allows us to perform the following for each employee:

  •  Metabolic Panel   Screens for blood sugar, liver, and kidney function.

  •  Lipid Panel   Screens for total cholesterol, HDL, LDL, and triglycerides.

  • Complete Blood Count (CBC)   Screens for anemia and infection.

  • TSH   Screens for thyroid function.

Health Assessments

  •  Blood Pressure   Assesses risk for problems caused by high blood pressure, such as heart attack and stroke.

  •  Height & Weight  Assesses risk for obesity-related issues like Type II Diabetes and heart disease.

  •  Health Risk Questionnaire   A written tool for gathering information about an individual employee?s risk factors.

Return On-Site Visit: 

Results & Recommendations

(Takes about 10 minutes per employee)

 Individual Results

  •  Confidential Counseling   A nurse explains each employee?s individual results and goes over any areas of special concern.  Individual results are always confidential.

  •  Educational Materials   Employees receive personalized educational materials about healthy lifestyle changes.

Organizational Results

  • Consultation with Wellness Professional,   who interprets your company?s overall health profile and works with you to create a tailored plan to improve it.

  • Policy Recommendations  Our team recommends ways your company can promote health & well-being, such as healthy eating, quitting smoking, physical activity, and breastfeeding.

  • Education Recommendations   Our team provides resources for classes you might offer to your employees on topics like quitting smoking and first aid.

Add-On Options (Available for an additional fee)

  •  Flu Shots & Other Immunizations.   Available vaccines include Flu, Hepatitis A & B, Tetanus/Diptheria, Pneumonia, and Shingles.

  •  HgbA1C (for diabetics), Tuberculosis & Prostate Cancer screenings.
