Family Planning & Birth Control

Family Planning services are available to clients Tuesday through Thursday by appointment. The clinic performs a yearly gynecological examination, including a pap smear test and breast examination. A variety of birth control methods are offered, and counseling is provided on each. HIV testing and counseling is offered and is included in the visit.

Each client is evaluated for the method of birth control that will best suit her needs. Birth control supplies, including condoms, are provided.

Fees for clinic services are determined on a sliding fee scale based on income. We Accept Medicaid.

ABC Clinic (Assuring Best Care)

The St. Johns County Health Department's ABC Clinic [Assuring Best Care] can provide assistance.

The clinic offers Public Health Nurses who counsel pregnant women to ensure they receive the resources and assistance that may be available. Services may include assistance in applying for Medicaid, healthy pregnancy-counseling and referrals to services such as WIC and Healthy Start Programs. Call for an appointment!
