The purpose of the Swimming Pool & Spa program is to assure that the citizens and visitors of St. Johns County have a safe swimming environment. Swimming facilities include swimming pools, therapy spas, wading pools as well as special water feature attractions such as splash parks. Once these facilities are permitted and constructed, our certified Environmental Specialists perform inspections prior to issuance of the operating permit. The following facilities are inspected by our staff each year:
- Proper disinfection of the water
- Chemical balance of the pool water
- Filtration equipment properly maintained
- Safety equipment is maintained on site
- Swimming Pool, Water Feature, and Spa Construction Permits & Inspections
- Nuisance Complaint Investigations
