Focusing on Prevention, Preparedness and Personal Responsibility
The Office of Health Education seeks to promote healthy lifestyles in the residents of our county. Through programs that focus on chronic disease and injury prevention, we educate and inform the public on a variety of health topics. Health educators teach classes and seminars, attend health events and design and distribute materials to improve health outcomes in the community. We also form community partnerships and seek to create policy and environmental changes throughout the county that will benefit the health of our residents.
We offer several ongoing health programs in the community that target individuals and groups of all ages. Any individual or group wanting information and materials on chronic disease and injury prevention or any group that would like our agency to attend a health fair or event, can call (904) 825-5055 x1031.
