Cardiovascular Screening

Cardiovascular disease is the leading cause of morbidity and mortality in this country. As a service to the residents of Sumter County, the Sumter County Health Department is offering a cardiovascular screening program. This program consists of a blood test for blood sugar, total cholesterol, HDL/LDL/VLDL cholesterol, LDL/HDL ratio, triglyceride and a blood pressure check.
If there are abnormal findings, clients should make their own arrangements for further diagnostic evaluation and treatment. Sumter County Health Department will not be responsible for further diagnostic evaluation and treatment. A $15.00 fee will be charged at the time of service.
